Former Offaly All-Ireland winner Daithi Regan is puzzled at how Galway could take any solace from the Leinster hurling final defeat to Kilkenny.
Anthony Cunningham's side lost out by a 1-25 to 2-15 score and Regan noted many negatives when he joined Off The Ball and former Tipp great Eoin Kelly to preview this Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final between Galway and Tipperary.
"I'm not convinced by them at all. They've mixed the sublime with the downright poor," he said.
"I felt the Leinster final was always going to be their test and they failed it miserably. A number of things disillusioned me looking at Galway that day. One was the basic requirement of a first touch. I thought it was abysmal at times against Kilkenny, yet Galway seemed to take something from the Kilkenny game and I just could not understand that whatsoever."
