It has been confirmed that the Danish footballer Christian Eriksen has been stabilised and taken to hospital after collapsing during a game at the European Championships on Saturday evening.

Taking place at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Eriksen fell to the ground shortly before half-time.

As medics rushed to his aid on the pitch, the severity of the situation resulted in UEFA deciding to suspend the match immediately.

While it remains unclear what happened to the Inter Milan player, UEFA has confirmed that Eriksen is in a stable condition and has been taken to hospital.

Furthermore, UEFA have confirmed that more information will be made available at 18:45 Irish time.
