All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-final permutations

Two of the semi-finalists in this year's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship are already known, with the other two to be decided this weekend.

Defending champions Dublin and their last opponents in the quarter-final series, Tyrone, have already qualified. Kerry, Donegal and Mayo are vying for the last two places.

The quarter-final, Phase Three fixtures are as follows:

SATURDAY

Group 1: Mayo v Donegal, Elverys MacHale Park, throw-in; 6.00 pm.

Meath v Kerry, Pairc Tailteann, throw-in; 6.00 pm.

SUNDAY

Group 2: Tyrone v Dublin, Healy Park, throw-in; 4.00 pm.

Cork v Roscommon, Pairc Ui Rinn, throw-in; 4.00 pm.

The semi-finals will be played on the weekend of August 10 & 11 with the winners of Group 1 taking on the runners-up in Group 2 while the second-placed team in Group 1 will play the winners of Group 2.

Mayo v Donegal

A draw against Mayo would be enough for Donegal (currently 3 points) to book a place in the semi-finals. It could also be enough for the Westerners (2 points) but only if Meath defeated Kerry by 11 points or more.

A win for Mayo would guarantee them progression.

Meath v Kerry

A draw against Meath would be enough for Kerry to secure a semi-final place. A defeat would also be enough to see them through if Donegal beat Mayo.

If Kerry lost and Mayo won, Mayo would go through, with the second place between Kerry and Donegal decided on scoring returns.

Having lost their two previous games, Meath are out of contention.

Tyrone v Dublin

This meeting, to determine who tops Group 2, is the 11th meeting between these two counties - all since 1984. Dublin have won seven times to Tyrone's two while there has been one draw in the previous ten clashes.

Aside from last year's All-Ireland final, they met in Omagh last year in the quarter-final series with Dublin running out 1-14 to 0-14 winners.

Cork v Roscommon

This is the first meeting of these two counties since 2010 but both are out of contention having lost their previous two matches in the group.

In their previous three meetings, Cork have won twice and Roscommon once.
