Allianz League Round-up: Mayo fight-back overcomes Kerry

Mayo secured their first win of the 2017 Allianz League Division One campaign.

But Stephen Rochford's side had to overcome a 1-7 to 0-6 half time deficit against Kerry.

Barry John Keane got the Kerry goal at a point in the game when Eamonn Fitzmaurice's team built a six point advantage.

Mayo battled back to secure a 0-15 to 1-10 win at Austin Stack Park, having lost their league opener to Monaghan last Saturday.

Meanwhile, All Ireland football champions Dublin and Tyrone played out a 0-10 to 1-7 draw at Croke Park.

Like Mayo, they had to stage a fight back which they duly achieved with second half points to close the gap and reel in the advantage held by Mickey Harte's side.

Tyrone were reduced to 14 men on 51 minutes when Mark Bradley was sent off.

In Division Four, the Waterford footballers made it two wins from and simultaneously handed Wicklow their second defeat on the trot at Carriganore.

Waterford beat the Leinster county 1-17 to 1-9. Wicklow had lost their opening match to Leitrim last weekend by a 1-17 to 0-10 scoreline.

There was also action in the top tier of the Allianz Hurling League.

All Ireland champions Tipperary saw off Dublin 1-24 to 1-8 at Croke Park, leaving the respective managers Michael Ryan and Ger Cunningham with contrasting emotions at full time.

Tipperary's goal came from Jason Forde, who also hit three points. Eamonn Dillon got the Dublin goal.

Meanwhile at Pairc Ui Rinn, Cork had the better of Clare with the Rebels winning 0-21 to 1-11.

Podge Collins scored the Clare goal to keep the Banner in touch at half time.
