Antrim Hurling Manager got it right: Wexford progress to final with ease

Antrim under 21 hurling manager said that "Wexford will give us a hiding" during the week and while it wasn't as bad as Ryan had possibly envisioned, it was a sizable lead that Wexford had when the final whistle blew.

Twelve points separated the teams with the men from the Sunny south-east remaining comfortable throughout.

Wexford led at half time by five points on a scoreline of 0-08 to 0-03 and ended up winning by twelve on the day with little fuss.

The reason Ryan gave for his pessimism was that his side had only had one full training session and one challenge match since their Ulster final win in the middle of July - that's almost five weeks of inactivity.

Wexford will face either Galway or Limerick, who face off in the other semi-final after them this evening.

Galway have three players who played in the epic senior All-Ireland semi-final encounter against Tipperary last Sunday in Cathal Mannion, Jason Flynn and Conor Whelan.
