Bringing a psychologist into the Westmeath camp has reaped rewards according to former Westmeath and Offaly footballer PJ Ward.
The county enjoyed their first ever championship victory over neighbours Meath in yesterday's Leinster football semi-final.
PJ spoke to Newstalk's Oisin Langan on the Monday Rewind podcast and highlighted the behind the scenes impact made by manager Tom Cribbin, who will be speaking to Off The Ball tonight.
"For a young team, they have great experience for what they brought yesterday and probably the work Tom has done with them over the course of the last 5-6 weeks - bringing in the psychologist and things like that - has really brought these lads onto a different level in terms of their confidence," he said.
