Controversial camogie coin toss to go ahead

The Camogie Association has confirmed that the coin-toss to decide whether Dublin or Clare will advance All-Ireland senior quarter-finals will go ahead after all.

The two sides had finished level on points and on their head-to-head record in Group Two of the Senior Camogie Championship, which means that they have to be separated by drawing lots.

Both counties had appealed against the process but the Association says that their Disciplinary Committee has not got the power to overturn the decision of the Ard Chomhairle.

The draw is now expected to be held tomorrow, leaving the winning team with just three days to prepare for a quarter-final clash with Wexford on Saturday.
