GAA Round-Up: Wexford beat Kilkenny to reach Leinster final

Wexford are into a first Leinster Senior Hurling Championship final since 2008 after an impressive three-point win over Kilkenny at Wexford Innovate Park.

Davy Fitzgerald watched on from a special box as his side put last year's All-Ireland finalists to the sword and ran out 1-20 to 3-11 winners.

Brian Cody's men will now drop to the qualifiers, which also features All-Ireland champions Tipperary, Limerick and Dublin.

TJ Reid's 2-7, including a goal in the second minute of the game, couldn't prevent Kilkenny slipping to defeat.

In the Christy Ring Cup final, James Doyle was the hero for Carlow as his four goals helped down Antrim at Croke Park.

It was their first cup success since 2009 and they now play Laois in the All-Ireland preliminary round qualifiers.

In the football, Cork were forced to come from behind to beat Tipperary at Páirc Uí Rinn. Peadar Healy's side only managed one point in the first half, but a second-half surge saw them claim a narrow 1-10 to 1-09 victory.
