Ian Maguire admits Cork's performance against Tipperary "wasn't perfect" this afternoon, but says his side were happy to notch a "dirty win" in the Munster Senior Football Championship.
Cork managed only one point in the first half against the Premier County, but rallied after the interval to claim a 1-10 to 1-09 victory at Páirc Uí Rinn.
Luke Connolly notched the crucial goal for The Rebels to send them through to the Munster final against Kerry or Clare on 2 July.
"I thought all over the pitch in the second half we were brilliant," Maguire told Oisin Langan after the final whistle.
"We played with pace and the subs made a huge contribution. That got us over the line. That's Championship. If you lose and you play great, who cares?
"If we win, and get that dirty win, we're onto the Munster final and we'll go again."
He continued: "The performances weren't perfect. It's always a good win when you get a win in the Championship. We're absolutely delighted. We've come over Waterford now and Tipperary."
Shooting from both sides in the first half of Saturday's game was abysmal, with the score at 0-01 to 0-04 at half time.
"In the final third we struggled, we rushed our shots. They built during the first half and it killed our momentum.
"In the second half I thought we exploded out on top of their kick-outs and in the final third we kicked on. We got some really crucial scores.
"This afternoon we conceded a goal. Last year [if that happened], we wouldn't be sure if we'd win the game. This year we went right down the other end and scored a goal. We showed that this is a different team.
"We are gunning for this Munster final."
