Division 1

Mayo 0-07

Dublin 0-09

Dublin edged out Mayo in a low scoring affair at McHale Park in Castlebar this evening, with Dean Rock's accuracy from the deadball proving crucial.

In a game where tempers flared on more than one occasion between two powerhouses of the game, both teams finished with 14 men when Colm Boyle and John Small were given their marching orders deep into second half injury time.

Division 2

Armagh 0-15

Laois 1-13

Paul Cahilane's penalty proved to be the difference as Laois recovered from last week's defeat to claim victory at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh.

In a highly entertaining affair, the decisive score was netted early on as Laois held on and withstood a late Armagh flurry of points to get their league campaign up and running.

Cavan 1-11

Derry 1-12

Derry secured an important away win in an exciting game of football at Breffni Park on Saturday evening.

Cailean O'Boyle palmed a goal into the net to give Derry the lead early in the second half before Cavan foughtback to lead 1-09 to 1-08 thanks to a Michael Argue goal.

However, Mark Lynch hit three points and Shane Heavron added another to give Derry a lead they wouldn't relinquish, with their defence holding firm late on.
