In Pictures: Wexford's winning start under Davy Fitzgerald continues apace in the Walsh Cup

Wexford have defeated Dublin in hurling's Walsh Cup to maintain their unbeaten start under former Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald.

The Model County are through to the semi finals of the competition after a 1-17 to 0-17 victory at Hollymount.

Podge Doran's first half goal on 15 minutes ultimately proved crucial in separating the two Leinster rivals, who went in 1-11 to 0-9 at the break.

As the clock ticked down towards the game's conclusion, both sides were locked at 1-14 to 0-17 apiece until two points from dual star Lee Chin and one from Richie Kehoe saw Wexford establish a three point winning margin.

Wexford have already beaten UCD and 5-31 to 1-8, and Carlow by 3-20 to 0-14 thus far in the 2017 Walsh Cup.

Meanwhile, in Thursday night's FBD Insurance League, NUI Galway defeated IT Sligo 2-14 to 2-12.
