"It's going to be a fascinating game. Tyrone, if you go back to the league, they had three draws and close games and then they had some games that were horror shows ... bad defeats and no-one really knew where they were.

"They went back to the drawing board a bit and went ultra-defensive. They stuttered and got beaten by Donegal in the beginning but then went on a run and got a bit of momentum and got a bit of a system and people started to get confidence in the system.

"In the last two or three games you've seen certain players just explode and Tiernan McCann is probably the guy who represents it best.

"He's been phenomenal for Tyrone in how they play in the last couple of games. Tyrone are defensive but the speed of their counter-attacking is at a different level to anything they've done in the last couple of years and Tiernan McCann's driving runs from the half-back line are very important in that attack.

"Tyrone have become a dangerous team that are defensively strong. But now they are cracking over points and they are scoring 16, 17, 18, 19 points in their last couple of games.

"So they're getting enough scores being a defensive team to win matches, which is key.

"They are improving and some of their older guys like Sean Cavanagh are playing very well, Mattie Donnelly for me is having a fantastic season. But Ronan McNabb and some of their other guys are really starting to step up - you've Peter Harte in there as well - so they have a sprinkling of very good players.

"The next wave of guys that are playing really well as well so Tyrone are in a good place. They're playing Kerry and you have to accept that the Kerry are just a fantastic team.

"The amount of good players that they have and the skill-set that they have, and coupled with that, they have the ability to change and adapt depending on circumstances seamlessly."
