Laois will have to replay their All-Ireland qualifier against Armagh

The GAA have confirmed that Laois have agreed to take part in a replay of their All-Ireland qualifier against Armagh.

Laois won last Saturday's contest at O'Moore Park, but it subsequently emerged that they had used one substitute too many when they introduced a late black-card replacement in the final minute of the game.

As a result, the Laois county board have agreed to a replay on Saturday, July 2nd in Portaloise, with throw-in at 3pm.

"Following an enquiry form the CCCC arising from the Round 1A Football Qualifier between Laois v Armagh on Saturday June 18, it has been confirmed that one extra substitute was used by Laois in error," said the GAA's Central Competitions Control Committee.

"CCCC have proposed in accordance with rule, that this game should be replayed on Saturday July 2 at 3.0 in Portlaoise.

"Laois have accepted this proposal."
