Paul Galvin admits he's "unlikely" to be back for Kerry next year

Former footballer of the year Paul Galvin says he will speak to Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice before deciding whether to prolong his inter-county comeback - but he admits it's "unlikely" that he will play in 2016.

The 35-year-old was on Off The Ball tonight - and met John Giles on his way into studio - to chat to Ger and Wooly about his 2015 championship - his first since making his comeback from inter-county retirement.

"I don't know," he said, when asked if he plans to go back for another bite at the inter-county cherry.

"I'd have to speak to Eamonn really. I think it would be unfair now to be getting into stuff like that without speaking to the manager."

However, he added that: "it would be unlikely from a work point of view to be quite honest. I've two collections on the shelves next year. Considering that, that is a priority."

Galvin also talked about what led him to going down the menswear fashion route.

"I just didn't see teaching as being my future for my life and I felt I had a point of view and a bit of a kind of intuition for this menswear game and I wanted to do something with that," he said, while also explaining why he was only able to attend the All-Ireland final in Kerry's winning year of 2014 - and how watching that from the stands helped him make a decision to come back for 2015, while balancing that with getting his clothing collection venture off the ground.

"I felt I could still do it. That day I watched it," he reminisced, also touching on the following day when he met Fitzmaurice at the team hotel and how his body was prepared for a comeback.

"I just felt really hungry. I went to Santry and I got myself checked out physically and I actually discovered new training techniques that completely changed my body physically. It gave me a whole new lease of life."
