Sunday GAA round-up: Cork and Mayo enjoy bright starts for their Allianz League campaigns

Mayo have made a bright start to their Division One campaign in the Allianz National Football League.

Alan Freeman and Kevin McLaughlin both found the net in a 2-11 to 0-10 defeat of Kerry at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Tommy Walsh made a second-half appearance for the Kingdom after five years in the AFL.

Jamie O'Sullivan's goal proved crucial at Páirc Uí Rinn where Cork beat Dublin 1-15 to 0-16.

Two late goals in 90 seconds saw Down come from behind to beat Kildare 3-13 to 1-15 at Newbridge.

Goals in either half from Danny Cummins and Shane Walsh helped Galway to a 2-13 to 1-12 win over Meath at Pearse Stadium.

The two promoted sides finished level in Kiltoom - Roscommon 1-11 Cavan 0-14 the final score.

James Dolan found the net just before half time as Westmeath beat Midlands rivals Laois 1-12 to 0-10 at Cusack Park.

Clare made the brightest start in Division Three, comfortably beating Wexford 1-16 to 0-5.

Limerick were 0-14 to 1-9 winners over Sligo in Kilmallock.

While Armagh narrowly saw off Tipperary at the Athletic Grounds - 2-8 to 0-13.

Offaly were the only side to post a victory in Division Four, beating London 0-9 to 1-2 in Ruislip.

It finished Leitrim 0-15 Longford 1-12 at Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada.

And at Páirc Naomh Pól it finished up Antrim 1-12 Carlow 0-15.

Meanwhile Galway will play Dublin in next week's Walsh Cup final.

The Tribesmen comfortable 2-18 to 0-15 winners over Carlow at Cullen Park.

Dublin also had it relatively easy, beating Laois 2-18 to 1-11 at O'Moore Park.
