Charlie Sifford, the first man to break the colour barrier on the PGA Tour back in 1961, passed away on Tuesday aged 92.
The first African-American to play on the PGA Tour, Sifford is regarded as the Jackie Robinson of golf for breaking the colour barrier in 1961 - when he was 38-years-old. There was a Caucasians-only rule on the PGA Tour until that point.
Sifford was recently awarded the Presidential Medal of Honor by Barack Obama, and back in 2004 he was inducted into the golfing hall of fame.
