Contador to quit cycling after 2016

Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador says next season is likely to be his last in the sport.

The Tinkoff-Saxo rider confirmed that he wants to retire "being at the top".

The 32-year-old is one of just six cyclists to have legitimately won all three Grand Tours - the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana.

"Next year I’ll be in the squad, but will be the last," he confirmed.

But Contador also served a two year ban for failing a doping test, which meant he was stripped of his 2010 Tour and 2011 Giro titles.
