'Cowboy' Cerrone joins the long list of fighters who have called out Conor McGregor

Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone is looking to bounce back from a defeat to Rafael dos Anjos, the man that Conor McGregor will be facing next in the octagon.

That fight was wrapped up within 66 seconds, as Cerrone simply failed to show up on the night, something he acknowledged in a recent interview.

Speaking to MMA Junkie, Cerrone said that he hasn't looked back on that fight too much as "there’s nothing to reflect on. I mean, what can I say? ‘Oh, maybe I didn’t warm up good enough.’ Or what, maybe the 12 seconds that the fight went, I didn’t do something good enough? I don’t understand what to reflect on. It would be different if I got mauled for five rounds. It was a 12-second fight. I got my ass whipped".

However, Cerrone also added his name to the long list of fighters who have called out Conor McGregor, saying that he didn't like the Dubliner's brash nature, and how he has been running his mouth a bit too much for his liking in the run up to his recent fights.

When speaking about the next fight that the UFC has in mind for him, he said "I don’t even care; whatever they want to do. It makes no difference to me. I’m not going to say no. But I’m not going to get out there and say, ‘My next fight, title fight. It’s my dream’. I don’t care. I don’t give a sh*t. Give me Conor McGregor. I’ll fight that p***y. Other than that, I don’t care. Tell that dude to slow his f**king roll. You can’t be just calling out 170-pounders. So, whatever. Enough of him".

The two have traded words before, in the lead up to the fight between McGregor and Jose Aldo, where Cerrone once again referenced the Irishman's penchant for trash talk.
