Four Irish players still in the mix at European Tour Qualifying School

There are four Irish players still in the field at the European Tour Qualifying School after the latest shake up of the field.

Damien McGrane, Paul Dunne, Kevin Phelan and Simon Thornton are all still in the field at the PGA Catalunya Resort after finishing inside the cut-off point of 1-under after today's fourth round.

Of the quartet, McGrane is best placed on 8-under par, which leaves him six shots off the leaders.

There are two rounds remaining in Spain, where the top 25 and ties at the end of the week will earn playing cards for next year's European Tour.

As things stand, the Irish quartet are on:

Damien McGrane 8-under (tied for 14th)

Paul Dunne 7-under (T18)

Kevin Phelan 3-under (T44)

Simon Thornton 2-under (T51)
