Matthew Macklin faces a key clash in his career trajectory this Saturday at the 3 Arena against Jorge Sebastian Heiland and tonight he told Off The Ball that he was under no illusion about the importance of victory.

"I believe I can go on and become world champion. But at the same time I'd have to be beating someone like Heiland. He's a solid fighter," said Mackli, who feels sharp ahead of the big fight.
"If I perform to the best of my ability and he performs to the best of his ability, I win every day of the week."
