The JP McManus Pro-Am has been postponed until 2021

The JP McManus Pro-Am Committee has confirmed that the sold-out 2020 tournament has been postponed until until next year.

The Pro-Am was due to be held this July at Adare Manor in Limerick but has now been deferred until 5th & 6th July 2021 at the same venue.

The golf calendar for 2020 has been thrown into disarray due to coronavirus pandemic with the Open Championship cancelled while the American majors are all set to be rescheduled for later this year.

The Pro-Am host, JP McManus, has urged fans to hold onto their tickets for the rearranged event.

"We are all very disappointed with this news and we would like to thank everyone involved with the Pro-Am for their understanding and patience," McManus said in an official statement released on Tuesday.

"To all ticket holders: please hold onto your ticket caps and we look forward to seeing you in 2021 for what promises to be an exciting tournament of world-class golf.

"We would also like to convey our gratitude to the European Tour for their continued support of the event. We hope everyone will stay safe during these unprecedented times."

The world number one and current US PGA champion, Brooks Koepka was the latest golfer to join a star-studded field, including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnston.

Played at the same venue for the 2026 Ryder Cup matches between Europe and the USA, the two-day exhibition is for the benefit of charitable organisations in the Mid-West.

The Pro-Am Committee has said that it will release more information about the rescheduled event in the coming months.

The tournament is a complete sell-out but organisers have said that all caps purchased will be valid for the rescheduled 2021 event, as will all on-site parking and Park & Ride passes.

Spectators who wish to be refunded for their ticket caps are advised to visit www.jpmcmanusproam.com.
