Looks like Andy Lee can look forward to Kid Chocolate

There is a very real possibility that WBO Middleweight champion Andy Lee will end up defending his title against Peter Quillin, also known by his nickname 'Kid Chocolate'.

Quillin was the middleweight title holder vacated the belt instead of fighting Matt Korobov, the man Lee beat to win the world title in December.

According to ESPN's Dan Rafael, who was speaking to Off The Ball tonight, a fight between the Limerick man and Kid Chocolate appears to be on the cards.

"That's a very good possibility. They're trying to make the fight and I think it's close to being made. The biggest question is whether they're going to be able to do the fight for the title because Andy has a mandatory defence against Billy Joe Saunders from England," said Rafael, who suggested that Saunders would have to step aside for Quillin to jump the queue.

The ESPN boxing correspondent also suggested that it is within the realms of possibility that Lee could vacate the belt to set up a lucrative bout against the undefeated Quillin in April, more than likely on the US East coast.

Meanwhile, it looks like leading US TV networks will look to do a joint pay-per-view as negotiations over a long-awaited bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayyweather rumble on.

The two boxing legends could make over $150M between them, but with Mayweather appearing reticent, a fight still appears unlikely.
