WATCH: 80-year-old Gary Player shoots a hole-in-one in Masters Par 3 contest

Gary Player prides himself in being one of the fittest men for his age in the world.

The South African won nine major titles during his career, including three Masters titles in 1961, 1974 and 1978. He remains one of the elder statesmen of the game and will be one of the ceremonial starters of the Masters on Thursday along with Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.

The 80-year-old shot one of nine holes-in-one during the Masters Par 3 tournament on Wednesday evening. Player's feat matches Jack Nicklaus' performance last year when the 18-time major winner also shot a hole-in-one during the tournament.

Player last competed in the Masters in 2009. Despite competing until seven years ago, the three-time Masters winner failed to make the cut for his final 11 appearances at Augusta.
