Just to show that he is a little bit human, Lionel Messi contrived to miss a penalty and an even more presentable rebound at the very end of Barcelona's 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League.
But in truth, he has always been a little bit fallible at penalties over the years. But does he have the yips from the spot?
"I think if you look at the number, that's three misses in his last six, but also really a big increase in the miss rate," said Off The Ball's European football correspondent Graham Hunter.
"His overall career stats for penalties is hovering just in the low-80 per cents. The number of misses has gone up."
Graham also felt it was very strange that Messi gave Neymar a penalty in a recent match against Villarreal rather than taking it himself, and thinks there is something "niggling" away at him from 12 yards.
