WATCH: Pep Guardiola says teary goodbye to Sergio Aguero

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola could barely get out the words as he bid a very emotional farewell to Sergio Aguero following City's final match of the Premier League season.

It has been confirmed that Aguero will be leaving the club that he has been with since 2011 after their Champions League final next weekend, with rumours linking him to a stint in Barcelona.

While the celebrations were big for the new Premier League champions, City manager Guardiola was emotional for an entirely different reason, speaking to Sky Sports.

He expressed just how much the Argentine international meant to him and the club, fighting back the tears, and struggling to get his words across.

"We love him so much," Guardiola said. "He is a special person for all of us. He is so nice, so nice. He helped me a lot; we cannot replace him. We cannot!

"There are many players that describe you heart, like David Silva, and helped us to make this club what it is. We have his legacy and he showed his quality in 20 minutes."

Aguero made history of his own on Sunday, becoming the top goal scorer for a single club in the Premier League, scoring his 260th goal against Everton.

While the club was celebrating their Premier League title victory, Aguero was being celebrated for his decade at City, and some of the iconic moments that he shared in the sky blue jersey.

The season is not over for Guardiola and his men, though, as City still have their Champions League final to play. Guardiola expressed what that title would mean to his group of players following their Premier League win.

"It is a dream come true," Guardiola said. "For this club it's a dream. For other clubs, maybe they have been there before, we have never been there before.

"It is the first time for all of us in this club, so yeah we are going to try it. We are going to give everything and of course we want to win it.

"It is not enough just being there. We are going to try it, and it depends on them [his players]."
