Daithi Regan's impassioned call-to-arms for Laois' hurlers

This weekend, Laois face All-Ireland champions Limerick in the Allianz Hurling League quarter-finals.

It's a daunting task for Eddie Brennan's side with the potential for a heavy defeat.

But Offaly legend Daithi Regan does not see it as a negative. Indeed, he feels they should and will embrace the challenge.

"Were here talking about Laois playing the All-Ireland champions and worrying for them," he said.

Confidence

"Eddie Brennan will embrace this and the Laois players will embrace this. And they're absolutely dead right.

"And it's not that Limerick are supermen or they're far better hurlers. From a skill-set point of view, most of the Laois players will have the same skill-set as Limerick will.

"But what they'll have is from a conditioning point of view, [Limerick] will be quite a bit ahead. From a confidence point of view, they'll be light years ahead. And that confidence and the difference in confidence makes up a massive discrepancy between both sides and where they're at. Confidence is huge. So actually, this is the best ever occasion for Laois to go out and play Limerick."

Ex-Wexford star Diarmuid Lyng was also in studio to his own county and more. You can watch that above via YouTube.
