Limerick GAA open disciplinary proceedings against two players sent home from New York

Limerick GAA has confirmed that they're opened disciplinary proceedings against two members of their senior hurling panel who were sent home early from New York.

The 2018 All-Ireland champions were in America last weekend for the Super 11's tournament and a video has emerged which allegedly shows one of their squad involved in a street brawl with another man.

It's also alleged that the other panel member that was sent home filmed the incident.

“Limerick expects the highest of standards of behaviour and example from its players both on and off the field and will not tolerate any breach of those standards. A disciplinary process has commenced and there will be no further comment in relation to this matter.”
