Tipperary hurling legend Mick Roche has died, aged 73

Tipperary GAA is today in mourning after the death of hurler Mick Roche. He was 73.

The legendary centre-back enjoyed almost a decade with the Premier County, winning three All-Ireland titles in this time and solidifying himself as one of the greatest hurlers in the county.

A career spanning from 1964 until 1973, he also won five Munster titles and picked up three hurling league medals.

The Carrick Davins clubman won two championship medals and is considered one of the county's finest ever hurlers.
