Ibrahimovic reportedly agrees move to rejoin A.C. Milan

Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly set to rejoin his former club A.C. Milan.

The veteran striker last played with L.A. Galaxy in the MLS but announced his departure from the club in November.

The 38-year-old had been linked with a number of clubs across the world but Sky Italia are reporting that the Swede has finally agreed in principle a move back to the Rossoneri.

They report that the move will be agreed as a six-month deal until the end of the season, with the option for a season-long extension if certain conditions are met. Ibrahimovic last played for Milan in 2012, initially joining the club on loan in 2010.

He scored 56 goals in 85 games at the San Siro club, winning the Serie-A in 2010/11. From there Ibrahimovic joined Paris Saint Germain in Ligue 1, where he won the league four years back-to-back before signing for Manchester United.

The Milan side Ibrahimovic will join is very different to the team he won the league with nearly a decade ago. The former European giants are currently eleventh in Serie A approaching the halfway mark of the season.

This season the club sacked manager Marco Giampaolo after just seven games in charge, during which he won three games and lost four.

Former Internazionale and Fiorentina coach Stefano Pioli replaced him as manager but has had mixed fortunes, most recently losing 5-0 to Atalanta in the league.
