Trevor Hogan and Matty Williams joined Joe in studio tonight to dissect Ireland's performance against Italy and attempted to explain what areas Joe Schmidt's side were lacking.
Williams explained that what was missing in their performance was someone who was ready to run at defences and try to break the gainline.
"I've been saying this since the last six nations and getting yelled at for it" he began, "We're just lacking cutting edge."
"We're just lacking anyone who is willing to bend the line or people running through the line. I was delighted when I saw the first try on Sunday.
"It was a classic example of what to do when you cut the line. I couldn't explain to you why we don't do it more often."
Williams went on to say that our prospective opposition, Argentina, may prove a difficult opponent if Ireland aren't willing to bring in a more attacking and offloading game plan.
"You gotta score three tries in the quarter-finals, because Argentina are going to score three" he explained.
"You play New Zealand, you got to score three or four, same goes for Australia. We have to find a way to cross that line, because strangling them with penalties probably wo't do it for us in those big games.
