John Duggan's Euros Football Tip of the Day | Schick to Czech the Dutch

During the European Championship, John Duggan brings you a preview and tips for the top football games in association with Paddy Power...

The Netherlands have been better than I thought they would be at the European Championship, winning all their games, scoring 8 goals, and topping their Group.

However, I don't believe they are the finished article, especially at the back, and the Czech Republic might cause them some problems in the last 16 in Budapest.

The Czechs were pedestrian against England, almost settling for their fate during the second half. They entered the game with four points with a win over the Scots and a draw against Croatia.

They also drew with Belgium in a World Cup qualifier back in March and they have the dynamic West Ham duo of Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal in tow.

They are not a back number in international football.

Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick has been in confident form, scoring three goals in as many games in the Group phase from six shots on target.

His opportunistic lob of David Marshall at Hampden Park was one of the highlights of the competition to date.

And while Frenkie de Jong and Gini Wijnaldum have orchestrated some excellent Dutch play, that second-half spell when they conceded two goals against Ukraine hasn't left my mind.

Memphis Depay is in scoring form, so their attacking flair may be enough, but remember this is a Holland football team without Virgil van Dijk, and as we know with Italy against Austria, it can get harder in the last 16.

Schick has scored 14 goals in 29 games for his country and whether the Czechs win or not, I am backing him to score any time in the 90 minutes.

Football recommendation: Patrick Schick to score at any time for the Czech Republic against the Netherlands in the European Championship last 16 - 3/1

Good luck!
