Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane once played on loan with Leicester City, and he could mark a potential swan-song from Spurs by scoring on the final day of the Premier League season.
Leicester know that qualifying for next season’s Champions League is out of their hands, but the Foxes will have to be on the front foot and take the game to Tottenham if they are to give themselves any chance. They will be eager to take the lead, which could allow Tottenham to create opportunities on the counter attack.
Another scenario could transpire whereby results involving Chelsea and Liverpool are not going Leicester’s way and Tottenham pick up on the general feeling on the pitch and inside the ground at the King Power Stadium and capitalize on it.
Kane has ample motivation as the race for the Premier League’s Golden Boot is alive going into the final round of fixtures. He is level with Liverpool’s Mo Salah on 22 goals. With 13 assists, Kane is also one ahead Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes in the battle for the Playmaker award. It’s well known that Kane likes individual accolades.
Kane’s future in North London is uncertain. Reading between the lines, it's pretty clear he wants a new challenge, but having three years left on his contract complicates matters. If he does depart, it will be an emotional time for the England captain. He will be keen to mark his wonderful journey at Tottenham with a goal. Odds against on that happening at any time looks a value bet.
