Kevin Kilbane believes the last few nights of Champions League action have shown up the quality difference between Europe's top sides and those in the Premier League.
Speaking to Off The Ball, he cited intensity as part of the problem.
"You can't deny it's a good league, but when you see these Champions League games these last couple of nights, you do feel the way it's fallen behind," he said.
"You can't imagine a Premier League side competing with the likes of Atletico and Real Madrid at the moment, the way they're going about things, playing with that intensity."
If Bayern fail to reach semis, will be only second time that's happened to club since 2009, and first time in Guardiola's career...

Luis Suarez scored twice for Barcelona as they won 3-1 at Paris St Germain, while Porto were 3-1 winners at home to Bayern Munich in the other first leg tie.
"With that Bayern result in Porto, the competition is wide open again, and you couldn't rule out Atletico getting something at the Bernabeu," said Kilbane.
