'World-class' Pogba, Cavani & Bruno keeping United competitive | Vinny Perth on MUFC

Vinny Perth believes that while their key players are keeping them competitive, that this Manchester United side are still a long way from competing in the latter end of the Champions League.

United fans will be delighted with the turnaround in their Europa League semi-final, trailing 2-1 to Roma at half-time to turn it into a 6-2 win.

Manchester United v Roma

Perth believes that three of their attackers are part of the European elite, but that the relative performances of the Manchester clubs cannot be compared.

"This Manchester United side are dividing opinion, and tonight sums that up. For me, Fernandes, Pogba and Cavani have been involved with every single goal they've scored. Maybe it is a bold statement but they are probably the only three world-class players they have.

"People might question Pogba when you add him into that but they have turned the game right back in their favour. This is an average Roma side who have been poor, but defensively United have been in trouble at different stages.

"It has probably been typical of United's season this year and one thing I will say is that if you compare it to [PSG v Manchester City], there is no comparison. It's chalk and cheese."

Marcus Rashford

United have a long-standing issue in their right attacking position, with Marcus Rashford filling in the position this evening.

"He suits coming in on his right foot and coming in. Rashford has struggled a lot this second half of the season because of it. I think the manager has backed Pogba, he plays in that left channel and comes in off it.

"Rashford has struggled as a result of it; his goals this season compared to last are off the charts. He is way behind, he doesn't look happy in himself, and hasn't played well in a lot of the big games. Going forward, it is a worry because they haven't solved that right-hand channel.

"It is a big worry for Manchester United, because you could argue that Greenwood is better than Rashford in that right-hand channel. They have a challenge there."
