Matt Doherty happy to be contributing goals and assists at Wolves

Republic of Ireland full-back Matt Doherty says he's enjoying the freedom to link up to drift into space in attacking positions at Wolves this season.

The Dubliner found the net midweek as Nuno Espirito Santo's side lost at Espanyol but overcame the LaLiga strugglers on aggregate to advance to the last-16 of the Europa League.

"Over the last few games, I’ve managed to contribute, whether it’s an assist or a goal. That’s part of the position I play," Doherty said after the game in Barcelona.

“Obviously, it makes me happy when I contribute and score goals. We’d been on a good little run. That stopped on Thursday, so we need to get back to it.

Wolves make the trip to Tottenham tomorrow afternoon where a win would see them leapfrog Jose Mourinho's team in the Premier League:

"We know Tottenham is a tough game but we're not scared of anybody to be honest.

"The way we've played games against the big teams this season, we've kind of got the better of them so there'll be no issue with that.

"We're battling on two fronts so we've got two chances to do the best we can possibly do.

"We fancy ourselves over two legs against anybody so we will try and go as far as we can in that and finish as high as we can in the league.

"We're really confident at the moment so any team that comes up against us will find it tough."
