Kerry's forwards will be a big challenge for Donegal - Maurice Fitz

Former Kerry corner-forward Maurice Fitzgerald is excited by the Kingdom's attacking options ahead of the All Ireland final against Donegal.

The 1997 and 2000 All Ireland winner was speaking to us tonight about his beloved county's chances of success on Sunday.

"The return to form of Kieran Donaghy is very special because he's had a difficult year with injury and he's has fought to get back to his competitive best. Really with Kerry, they have a lot of different prospects up front which is going to be a big challenge for Donegal also. And I'm saying this in the same year that we don't have Colm Cooper which is quite extraordinary," said the three-time All Star, who also showered praise on the midfield pair of David Moran and Anthony Maher.

Maurice Fitz also feels that there is more tactical awareness and use of subs nowadays in comparison to his time, and also described Bryan Sheehan's long-range point-taking as "something to behold".

"I think that might be an important factor in maybe swaying things Kerry's way," said Fitzgerald, who does not expect star forward James O'Donoghue to be fazed by the bright lights of All Ireland final day.
