Think the post Open expectation is affecting Paul Dunne? Then think again!

It's been a whirlwind few weeks for Irish amateur golfer Paul Dunne. From leading The Open major championship at one point to being named in the Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup team, the Greystones native has certainly been busy.

Tonight, he joined us on Off The Ball to reflect on all the experiences he has faced in the last few weeks and he is taking it all in his stride.

"It's easy for people to put expectations on you, which could make you nervous. But for me, the only expectation I'm worried about is the ones I put on myself. It's definitely a more comfortable feeling after The Open because I've been exposed to a more pressure-packed situation - the most pressure-packed situation I can be exposed to in golf," he told Nathan.

He also said that he is not putting pressure on himself to turn pro, taking in the Walker Cup first before going down the professional route.

Dunne also gave his take on why Irish golf at amateur level is thriving in comparison to other countries.
