Irish actor Peter Coonan joins You Had To Be There for a wide-ranging chat that swings between football obsession, growing up in Leopardstown, and what it takes to build a character on screen.

Peter relives some of his all-time sporting moments: Cluxton’s 2011 All-Ireland winner, sneaking into Ireland vs Yugoslavia in ’99, Euro 2016 against Italy, and the atmosphere of those big nights in Lansdowne Road.

He also goes deep on acting craft, audition nerves, becoming Fran in Love/Hate (yes, the teeth), and why the hardest roles can be the ones closest to yourself.
