2018 BoyleSports Irish Grand National winning jockey JJ Slevin was the special guest for this week's edition of Friday Night Racing.
Originally from Kiltrea, Caim, County Wexford, Slevin began his career as an amateur before turning professional in August 2016.
He's currently recovering from an injury sustained riding General Principle for Gordon Elliott after taking a fall at the Aintree Grand National, telling Ger: "We're out of action at the moment. We took a fall at the English National and we're hoping to back for next weekend so we're just taking it handy for a few days. Hopefully we get the all clear off the doctors next week.
"It was at the big ditch, the third fence the second time around. He was lovely early, jumping quite well. He was in a nice rhythm and I gave him a few squeezes along the way and asked him for a few longer jumps than he did and he put down on me a few times. He was meeting that fence a shade long and I said 'Go ahead now and have a cut' and he put down on me and had a heavy fall.
"He just changed his mind and didn't take the long stride that was coming there. He just chipped in an extra stride and got in too deep and just somersaulted at the ditch. It's a very big ditch at that third fence. That's what happened and thankfully he's okay and I'm not too bad - so that's the main thing."
Asked about whose fault the fall was, he told Johnny Ward: "Sometimes it can be a mixture of rider error and it can be...just not interfering with the horse and letting the horse find his own rhythm. And, by asking him to do that when he's unsure or not on the proper stride - it cuts him off so it's a mixture of two things really."
