Argentina brush aside Namibia

Argentina finished off their Pool C fixtures in style as they dismissed minnows Namibia this afternoon, running nine trys in during the 80 minutes.

Los Pumas played an enthralling style of rugby, with an emphasis on keeping the ball alive, running from deep and a lot of interplay between backs  forwards, it led to a very entertaining game at the King Power stadium in Leicester.

Namibia ran in three trys of their own as they played without inspirational captain Jacques Burger but they did play with immense pride in the jersey and showed some flashes of brilliance.

Despite three yellow cards, the game was played in a great spirit from the start and Argentinian magician Juan Martin Hernandez got the opening score with a try after 5 minutes.

Namibian centre JC Greyling was sent to the bin and it looked like the floodgates would open, but the Welwitschias failed to read the script as Johan Tromp went over and Thinus Kotze converted to leave three between them.

Matias Moroni made sure Argentina took advantage of the extra man before Horacio Agulla, Facundo Isa and Lucas Noguera dotted down before half time.

JC Greyling then made up for his sin-binning after pouncing on a loose ball in the midfield and scurried under the posts for Namibia's second.

Argentina then kicked it up a notch, playing a beautiful brand of rugby with back door offloads galore as Matias Alemanno, Leonardo Senatore, Julian Montoya and Tomas Cubelli ran in another four trys for the South Americans.

Marcelo Bosch was fortunate to just be sent to the bin for a tip tackle, while Namibian flanker Tinus DuPlessis was also binned rather harshly for taking the man in the air.

The final cheer of the day belong to Namibia however, as Eugen Jantjie crossed for their third try of the day with the final play.

Argentina will now face the victor of Ireland Vs France which takes places this evening.
