Australia's Michael Hooper suspended for Wales clash

Michael Hooper is to miss Australia's Pool A decider with Wales this weekend after being suspended for one week.

The flanker was cited for charging into a ruck late in the first half without using his arms.

"Following a review of video footage, Hooper was cited by Independent Citing Commissioner Steve Hinds (New Zealand) under Law 10.4(h) for charging into a ruck or maul without the use of arms or grasping the player Mike Brown during the 39th minute of Australia’s Rugby World Cup 2015 Pool A match against England at Twickenham on October 3.", the Rugby World Cup organisers revealed in a statement.

Hooper, along with David Pocock have been instrumental in the back row for the Wallabies. The Waratahs flanker is available for Australia's quarter final in Twickenham where they will face one of South Africa, Scotland or Japan.
