'Ben Te'o sin-binning a disgrace' - Trevor Hogan on Leinster

Former Leinster, Munster and Ireland lock Trevor Hogan believes the sin-binning of Ben Te'o at the weekend was a disgrace.

The Leinster centre was shown a yellow card in the 25-22 defeat to Newport Gwent Dragons and Trevor told Off The Ball that the decision was not fair.

"I think the sin-binning of Ben Te'o was a disgrace. It was a big hit and a great tackle in my eyes. Because he didn't wrap his arms, it's because the impacts from his shoulder why your man went flying back and bounced right off him," said Trevor.

"What was more frustrating was that it was looked at on the camera. This ref ... you obviously haven't played rugby if you think that's a yellow card because when you hit someone that hard, they're going to fly back. It's just the way it works. Three or four years ago, everyone would have been raving about that tackle."

Trevor, who feels that sin-binning was a key turning points, looked ahead to the Champions Cup clash against Toulon, and feels that recent results make it a must-win.

"I think Toulon are definitely beatable. They're less mobile than they have been in the last few years. I think Toulon are someone you can score tries against," he said.
