Brian O'Driscoll has dissected some of the reasons why Ireland tasted defeat to Argentina in yesterday's Rugby World Cup quarter-final.
The Ireland legend and Off The Ball guest presenter shared his thoughts on yesterday's disappointment on tonight's show.
"I've never seen Ireland defend as narrow as they did and the disappointing thing for me is that you could see it early on," he said.
"For me, the two biggest losses were Jonny at 10 and possibly from a defensive point of view, Jared at 13, just being able to pull guys out to the width."
Adding that "unfortunately we lost too many of our key players" to injury, Brian also picked out another factor from the performance.
"The other thing that was really disappointing was that we were getting mismatched all over the place. They were getting their outside backs on our front five."
He also gave his take on the gulf in performances between the Northern and Southern Hemisphere teams during the tournament.
"You've got to play a little bit more expansive and you've got to take a few more risks to get the rewards and I think that came back to bite us a little bit."
