Connacht's poor start to the Guinness Pro 12 season has continued with a 17-8 defeat to Scarlets.
Having lost their opening two fixtures of the campaign and then been in a losing position when their game against Zebre was abandoned and then postponed last Saturday, the reigning Pro 12 champions were hoping to bounce back with a win.
But Wales provided no respite from the bad results for Pat Lam's side.
They did make a good start against Scarlets however as Niyi Adeolokun scored a try on 22 minutes.
But the Welsh side responded with a converted try of their own through Liam Williams.
A Jack Carty penalty put Connacht 8-7 in front.
But another try from Williams, followed by a Rhys Patchell drop goal saw Scarlets pull away and hold on for victory.
We're back at the Sportsground next Friday for the visit of Edinburgh and need all your fantastic support once again. #CRLive #SCAvCON
