Dan Biggar: "It should mean the world to you to pull on this shirt and represent it"

Dan Biggar says playing for the British and Irish Lions in any match means a lot, even if it means missing out on Test selection against New Zealand.

The Wales fly-half starts tomorrow's tour match with the Chiefs, which means it is unlikely he'll feature against the All Blacks on Saturday.

Speaking this week, Biggar said he wouldn't let the inclusion into Tuesday's squad get him down.

"Any motivation you need, you just look down at the badge," he said. "That's what you're representing. Whether that's [Tuesday], in what's perceived as a game that not everybody wants to play in, or the first test against the All Blacks.

"It should mean the world to you to pull on this shirt and represent it."

Meanwhile, British and Irish Lions assistant coach Andy Farrell says son Owen and Leigh Halfpenny should be fine for Saturday's first Test with New Zealand.

A quad strain ruled Owen out of the weekend win over the Maori All Blacks, while Halfpenny is going through concussion return-to-play checks.

Farrell also says captain Sam Warburton is "battle-hardened" and in "good condition" - following his recent return from an ankle injury.
