The Six Nations game between France and Scotland has been postponed after the French rugby federation suspended training due to another case of coronavirus.

Six Nations officials have not yet confirmed a rescheduled date for the game but will now start working towards a fresh date.

Tournament organisers had announced on Wednesday that the match would go ahead as planned on Sunday despite 10 French players contracting COVID-19.

However, France Training was cancelled today after an 11th player tested positive.

A statement from the Six Nations read:

"The Six Nations Testing Oversight Group met today to review the situation in the French camp.

"They unanimously recommended the postponement of the France and Scotland match.

"This will be ratified later today by the Six Nations Council.

"We will be working on the rescheduling of this fixture and will communicate the date in due course."

France head coach Fabien Galthie tested positive last week, while captain Charles Ollivon and scrum-half Antoine Dupont were among those forced to isolate.

France have started the Six Nations with wins over Italy and Ireland and sit top of the standings ahead of Wales on points difference.
