Leinster 31
Ospreys 19
Jonathan Sexton had an overall positive return to first team action this evening as Leinster ran out bonus point winners over Ospreys at the RDS.
Sexton crossed, scored an early penalty and converted four to see the Irish province run out winners, but were made to sweat after a late onslaught saw their Welsh counterparts cross on three occasions.
Leinster dominated the early stages of the game and led at the break by 24-0 and looked to be in cruise control. Tries from Josh van der Flier and a penalty try gave them a healthy lead at the beginning of the second period.
Sexton was binned in the second half and tries from James King, Ben John and Dafydd Howells all chipped away at the Leinster lead.
But Leo Cullen's side were able to hold on and secure the bonus point victory to see them cut the gap on Ospreys to just a single point in the Pro12 table.
