Dr Barry O'Driscoll talks to George Hook on the pressing issue of concussion

With the Six Nations just two weeks away, there was major concern about Jonathan Sexton after he appeared to receive a head injury in Leinster's Champions Cup loss at the hands of Wasp.

This morning, Leinster head coach Leo Cullen revealed that the Ireland out-half did not suffer concussion and was withdrawn from the field of play as a precaution.

Given Sexton's history of concussion, Newstalk's Right Hook presenter George Hook spoke of his concerns about the player's long-term health and suggested that it might be wise for the 30-year-old to give "serious consideration to cashing in his insurance policy and leaving rugby with his faculties still intact.''

On today's Right Hook, George was joined by former IRB chief medical adviser Dr Barry O'Driscoll to discuss the matter, with the latter describing Saturday's accidental collision as a "pretty severe impact" and noted that Sexton was "motionless for quite a long time".

Cullen revealed that it was a "not a concussion [and] is head knock" in this clip which George played to Dr O'Driscoll:
