In Pictures: Munster miss the chance to go back into the top four of the PRO12

It was a poor night for the Irish provinces as they failed to make up ground on league leaders Connacht, with both Leinster and Munster slipping to disappointing victories on the road this evening.

Cardiff Blues 37

Munster 28

Munster's play-off chances took a major blow this evening in Cardiff Arms Park, as they suffered a nine-point defeat to the Welsh side.

Tries from Macauley Cook, Matthew Rees, Garyn Smith and Rhys Patchell all helped the home side to a bonus point victory, while Munster will rue mistakes made after a promising start.

Darren Sweetnam, Jack O’Donoghue and Mike Sherry got the tries for the visitors but their performance wasn't enough and have now missed the opportunity to go move into the play-off positions ahead of fellow province Ulster.

Both sides contest a line-out during tonight's game.

Glasgow Warriors 12

Leinster 6

In a low scoring game in Glasgow, the home side came away with the points after a hard-fought match against Leo Cullen's side.

Thankfully, Cullen's side pick up a losing bonus point to close the gap on Connacht at the top of the PRO12 table, but thanks to an excellent kicking display from Rory Clegg, the home side kept themselves in the hunt for a play-off spot.
