The great narrative that emerged from the Rugby World Cup quarter-final results was the apparent conclusion that the Southern Hemisphere teams are vastly superior to their Northern counterparts like Ireland, England and France.
But Brian O'Driscoll believes that is going a bit overboard as he explained on Off The Ball tonight.
"It's an over-reaction. I think the brand of rugby being played between the two, there's definitely something to take from that," he said.
"I don't think the disconnect is as huge as everyone's making out. You look at Wales-South Africa, it was a brilliant game. Wales were decimated with injuries and still managed to give South Africa a fantastic game. And obviously the the way Scotland hung in there against Australia, it's typical Scotland, if they're in the game with 60 minutes they have a chance and you can feel them growing as each minute ticks by."
